Our TireMinder transmitters come in three varieties - Standard brass, Standard aluminum, and Flow-Through. The differences between the three can be seen below.
TireMinder kits come packaged with either Standard brass or Flow-Through transmitters. Some vehicles, such as personal vehicles like your tow-behind car, light truck, or SUV have aluminum valve stems and should use the Standard aluminum transmitters. If you find that your tow-behind has aluminum valve stems, we can exchange yours with aluminum transmitters at no cost to you.
When registering your product with us online, you can also choose which kit you purchased. In the example below, the TireMinder TPMS-i10-4 indicates that your purchase included Standard transmitters, while the TireMinder TPMS-i10-4FT indicates that your purchase included the Flow-Through transmitters.
