TireMinder Signal Booster Installation Instructions

In today's world, the TireMinder booster helps our 433MHz transmitters avoid signal interference from other wireless devices. As we all know, you can't throw a stone anymore without hitting a wireless device. These create a lot of electronic interference, which limits the potential range of other devices operating in the same vicinity, which makes the booster crucial for use with your new TireMinder.

Installing the TireMinder Booster

First you must choose the location. For best results, place the booster on the undercarriage. On vehicles with tow-behinds, placing the booster near the rear of the front vehicle is recommended. For single vehicles, the middle of the vehicle is recommended.

If your engine is a diesel, the booster must be placed on the undercarriage. The booster should also not be enclosed in a metal compartment.

Once you have chosen a good location, connect the booster's red (positive: +) and black (negative: -) wires to a 12V or 24V power supply line. Please mount the booster as securely as possible to minimize vibration. You may use the provided wire ties to secure the booster and wires. You may orientate the signal booster in either forward or backward directions if you have it connected horizontally, and if you have it mounted vertically you may secure it so that the antennae are aimed down towards the road.

An Ideal Location

The ideal booster location is underneath the vehicle. This allows the booster to easily communicate with all of the transmitters. Below you will find some other great placement ideas by our customers.

  • Front of 5th wheel or 5th wheel hitch
  • Connected to generator
  • Front of car hauler
  • Rear of coach, in front of towed-vehicle
