Ford E-Series RVs

For owners of Ford's E-Series RVs, you may find that your TireMinder transmitters may not fit your valve stems. This is due to Ford using a flow-through cap on their valve stem that needs to be removed. To remove, simply unscrew the flow-through caps by hand. Once removed, you will be able to install the transmitter on the valve stem.

The TireMinder transmitters use a standard Schrader valve size, and the flow-through cap that Ford has on its E-Series vehicles aren't compatible.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter RVs

Sprinter chassis RVs feature a rubber valve stem from the factory as well as a plastic valve stem extender. These are not compatible with TireMinder transmitters and will not provide reliable or safe operation if the system if used with them.

It's recommended to change the vehicle's valve stems to a high quality metal valve stems.
