Why Maintenance Is Important

Following a routine maintenance schedule will help ensure you're always getting the peace of mind your TireMinder provides. Replacing your batteries, o-rings, and caps on your transmitters helps ensure that your transmitters are always operating at their maximum efficiency.

Batteries

The CR1632 batteries in your TireMinder transmitters should always have 3V or more of life can last up to 1 year. We recommend a 9 to 12 month replacement schedule, which is made easy thanks to our Battery Replacement Program, which offers you free batteries for your system once per year and ships to you for only $10 USD.

O-Rings

O-rings on your transmitters help keep your transmitter safe from water, dust, and debris but these, too, should be replaced each time you replace your batteries for maximum reliability. This will help ensure that the transmitters stay corrosion-free by keeping the seal between the threading and your caps nice and snug.

Caps

Your transmitter caps should be inspected routinely for things like cracks or warping. A cracked cap can also allow water to intrude and cause corrosion. Through our Battery Replacement Program, you can add caps to your order for an additional $10 USD. These should normally be replaced every 1 to 2 years following your maintenance schedule.
