The most common cause of a leaking transmitter is the valve stem. This is especially true if you are using rubber valve stems or valve extenders. The best way to confirm where the leak is coming from is the "soapy water test". Using soap and water, you can identify exactly where a leak is originating from as bubbles will appear at the point where air is leaking. If your valve stem or extender is leaking, then it needs to be replaced. If you are replacing a valve stem, please note that we recommend metal valve stems instead of rubber.
